Dave Michael

Dave Michael

For the better part of the last 20 years, Dave Michael has been immersing himself in music.

The Chicago native got his start while living in Durham, North Carolina, performing with Vocal/Jazz groups, and as a Featured Artist with several Concert/Honor Bands.
His arrival on the Twin Cities scene in 1992 brought challenging new opportunities, through which he began making a name for himself in the music community.

Over the years, Dave has performed with and/or led numerous Small Groups, including his own 13-piece Jazz Orchestra. He has also accompanied many notable musicians such as former Tonight Show Bandleader “Doc” Severinsen, and Trombonist Slide Hampton.

Today, with hundreds of live performances and 4 International tours to his credit, Dave shows no signs of slowing down. A graduate of the prestigious Los Angeles Music Academy, he currently makes his living in music full time, both performing and teaching on a regular basis.

Dave’s deep-rooted love and respect for Jazz music, history, and tradition, puts him right at home with the other members of the band.
